About Cosmic Wines

Cosmic Wines specialises in boutique wines crafted from native Greek grape varieties, bringing distinctive regional expressions from Greece to Australian wine lovers.

Founded by Michael Piperoglou and Kosta Serevetas, Cosmic Wines was created from a shared passion for exceptional wine, Greek heritage, and the belief that Greece’s historic wine regions deserve greater recognition on the world stage.

Our Story

Michael’s love of wine has been shaped over more than 30 years. His palate was first developed through Australia’s premium wine regions before expanding into some of Europe’s most respected wine destinations, including Bordeaux, Tuscany, Piedmont, the Rhône Valley and Burgundy.

Proud of his Greek background, Michael began exploring the wines of Naoussa in 2000. He quickly recognised the region as a world-class terroir, home to expressive wines and remarkable native grape varieties. This discovery sparked his passion for showcasing premium Greek wines to a wider audience.

Kosta, Michael’s son-in-law, developed his own passion for wine through Michael’s influence. His interest deepened through French wines and through his strong personal connection to Santorini, an island he came to know closely through a dear friend. Over time, Kosta recognised the exceptional character of Santorini Assyrtiko, a world-class grape variety that reminded him of the elegance and minerality found in French Chablis.

Together, Michael and Kosta formed Cosmic Wines — a partnership built on family, heritage, discovery and a shared commitment to boutique Greek wine.

Our Focus

Cosmic Wines is dedicated to sourcing wines that express the character of Greece’s most distinctive regions, including Naoussa, Santorini, Amyndeo, Goumenissa and Kefalonia.

Our portfolio celebrates native Greek varieties such as Xinomavro, Assyrtiko and other regional cultivars that reflect Greece’s depth, history and unique winemaking identity.
